Courses

Newark Community First Aid offer two types of courses; please click the training titles for further information.

Community First Aid Training

Our Community courses are free of charge though venue hire charges may have to be passed on to students. The courses are suitable for people over the age of 14 but young people under 18 should be accompanied by an adult. The courses cover key areas of first aid and are designed to allow students to develop skills and confidence.

Workplace First Aid Training

We provide workplace first aid training to a wide range of businesses, community groups and charities requiring the HSE First Aid at Work and Emergency First Aid at Work qualifications. We also provide schools and early years settings with the Department of Education approved Paediatric and Emergency Paediatric courses.

Many organisations are also finding that mental ill health is affecting their staff in the workplace. We provide Mental Health First Aid Courses that can be tailored to fit existing support systems that you may already be using. Please contact us to discuss your needs.

All of our ‘Open Courses’ those held at our South Muskham venue are run using blended training. This means each course has an element of e-learning (defined by the HSE or Dept of Education) to be completed prior to face-to-face training. As an example, Emergency First Aid at Work has 2 hours e-learning then 4 hours face to face to allow for practical training and assessment. We can provide ‘classic’ training at our venue (if you have at least 6 candidates) which means all of the course will be delivered face to face. We can also deliver courses at your own site if you have adequate rooms these can be classic or blended training methods.

All funds raised through our Workplace Training is reinvested in our charity to provide our servies to the community.
