Workplace First Aid Training

Overview

Workplace first aid training must comply with the Health & Safety First Aid Regulations 1981. The first stage for an employer is to conduct a risk assessment of your workplace, specific guidance is available on the HSE website: www.hse.gov.uk/firstaid.

This will then allow you to decide which of the workplace courses would suit your business best, in simple terms the Emergency First Aider at Work is aimed at low risk organisations, First Aid at Work for higher risk. Legislation changes were made in October 2013 as the HSE will no longer approve or monitor first aid training organisations. The onus is being placed on businesses like yours to ensure you use due diligence in checking that the training organisation meets the requirements laid down in the legislation.

Newark Community First Aid is a charity set up to provide first aid training & event cover to the Newark Area. All profit from courses is reinvested into the charity to provide community first aid services. All of our trainers are fully qualified, with years of hands on experience in healthcare, the emergency services and as front line first aiders.
